Glasses, shmlasses.
So I got my first pair of glasses in high school. Never really needed them though. I could read, drive, plus quite honestly I didn't need glasses. They were like looking through a window, hardly any prescription. So I have had a few eye exams between then and now and never felt the need to get new ones because I could tell what the letters were. In hindsight, "telling" what the letters were was my justification for squinting and guessing to the best of my ability.
The last few months I have felt a little eye strain and blurred vision, but I just chalked it up to just being pregnant and my eyes were re-adjusting. So eight months after having a baby it didn't get better so I headed in for an exam. I COULDN'T READ THE TOP LINE! Okay sorry right eye you could totally read it, but ole lefty was struggling. So needless to say I decided it was time for new glasses.
I picked them up today and SHUT THE FRONT DOOR! It was like a whole new world. I just figured this is how everyone's vision was. When my father-in-law got HDTV I didn't get what all the hoopla was about. Chris ended up getting it and I hardly noticed difference between HD and regular TV. I just thought they all wanted it because it was the cool, new thing. So I put on my glasses today to just see and I could not believe my eyes! You really can see the sweat dripping off of the basketball players. Still don't really think HD is necessary, but whatev. Maybe I'm just bitter because they weren't the ones who got duped, it has been me all these years! Darn eyes, guess I do need those glasses shmlasses after all.

Really cute glasses!
My best friend said the same thing when she "upgraded" her prescription.... Those blurs when you were driving became bushes!
