Moments

As our kids grow we find ourselves having "moments" all the time. When the start walking, saying a new word, pumping on the swing, some day, oh some day, wiping their own little tooshies.
I anticipated Jack starting preschool to be a tad on the hard side for all parties involved. Everyone knows our kids our quite gluey, especially Jack. Not so much around kids, but adults whose names don't start with Muu and end with om. But when he took off running for school, even though it was hard to watch, I felt I could breath a little easier.
My moment came a few weeks ago when Jack hopped in the car from school and promptly pulled out this bad boy.

I thought it was so cute that he drew a picture with of him and me or Millie. (Yeah, I think I am the one in denial, too.) He quickly corrected me by telling me it was of him and Tess and she drew it for him. "Look at the back mom." There on the back with perfect little backward s's was Tess' name. My heart melted. He has had a few play dates with kids from school, but this little note showed me that yes, Chris and I are not the only humans who think this little man rocks.
I can't wait for more moments like these.
