Seems like everyone I talk to is wondering where in the heck June went. Seriously it seems like it is a blur of house hunting (to no avail) and heat. We haven't even been to the public pool yet!
Now that it is July I finally feel like summer has arrived. Swim lessons have begun, afternoons in the pool, and movies at the drive-in. Thank you July! So happy you are here. I really needed you. June was less than a good time for us.
On to the 4th of July. Well, let's start with the 3rd. It started off with swim lessons, but a cloud loomed over me because later that day we were to sign over our house. Ugh. We sat in the parking lot until exactly one o'clock. Papers signed, I took Chris back to work silently and headed home.
At about four thirty I get a call from Chris to take the kids outside. And in rolls this:
If only I had my camera to capture my Camaro and Mustang loving loving son's face. He didn't leave this car's side for more than enough time to shove dinner in his face. This was such a fun and unexpected surprise on such a hard day.
On the 4th we headed up the canyon to Breakfast in the Park in Huntsville. It was so cool driving through the canyon and seeing it from all angles. Breakfast in the Park was fun (and busy). Nothing says 4th of July like kids in bouncy houses, Toby Keith blaring, a parade, and an F-16 fly over all at the same time. It's enough to make this girl tear up every time. Later that day we barbecued with our neighbors who we adore and tried not to get too emotional over our last 4th of July celebrating as neighbors.
{He waited for his sister without being asked. Love him.}
{I adore this girl more than anything}
Big props to my cute husband who made our fourth a day we will never forget. Millie just stopped saying,"Oh yeah! Oh yeah! Cool Car!" And Jack, still can't wipe the smile off his face. I am so thankful to live in this country and be able to do things like this. Happy Independence Day!
