Batman Chalupa

That is the name of this little bean. One of my and Chris's favorite shows is The League. Watch it if you have disgusting man humor like my husband and myself. It starts up this fall. Anyways, the name comes from an episode that involves naming one of the character's baby Batman Chalupa. And because we don't know who this little one is, Batman Chalupa it became. The kids, friends, family, all know this child by the name. We pray it doesn't stay. But if it does, we can only hope it has the humor to accept and embrace it.
I haven't written much about this little bambino, so I figured it's high time. I'm entering my third trimester this week, and let me tell you, time has not flown. Jack's pregnancy was normal, Millie's was a blink of an eye, and this one is taking it's sweet time. I think that happens when you don't feel good for four months. But after reading my friend Megan's post, I have no room to complain whatsoever.
There have been some discomforts like with any pregnancy. The nausea, headaches, body aches, the pressure, oh the pressure down there, and the numerous other lovelies that come with growing a miracle, like these beauties:
I get dark splochies around my left eye whenever I am pregnant. So if you notice them and I haven't told you I am pregnant, well, I am. And they only get darker and more abundant as the months go by.
What I did not expect or appreciate this time around was the intolerance to dairy. The tummy aches and the, ahem, gas. We all get a case of the farties during pregnancy, right? Well, that glass of milk with cookies is not worth my husband not wanting to sleep in our bed at night. So I have been on almond milk, coconut milk, almond milk and coconut milk mix. It's just not the same. Thankfully, it is weaning and I can sneak a bowl of ice cream if I feel like it.
We still haven't found out what this little bean is, and we aren't planning on it. Everyone asks what we think it is. And honestly, we don't know. Who could know? But if I were a betting woman, I would say it is a girl. My belly is the same as with Mills (really, really low, hence the pressure), I am less puffy, and gained less weight (so far). On the other hand, this child's head is on the bigger side like Jack's was. So who knows, but the thought of finding out in that moment of delivery is so exciting.
Eleven weeks to go. If I could only find those damn crib screws that got lost during unpacking. I know they are in this house. I ran into the garage screaming like an excited Oprah, "Found the crib screws! I FOUND THE CRIB SCREWS!" Only to misplace them. Pregnancy brain. There's another fun lovely.
Next post about this little, never-ending-kicking, ice cream-hating, much-loved-by-siblings-already, nugget will be of his or her sweet face. We are so blessed.

I hope you don't take it wrong, but you are so stinking cute when you are pregnant! At no time during my pregnancies do I wear "the bump" so well.
My brother and some friends watch The League. I haven't seen it, but it sounds like our type of humor. :)
