Like I mentioned in a previous post, Millie chose to have a PURPLEPINK! birthday party this year. I thought this would be the easiest birthday ever. Not so easy. It was however, my easiest cake ever and with lots of help we pulled it of by the skin of our teeth at a park near my dad's house. The park was the best option ya know, with us being without and a house and all.
Millie also wanted a bounce house and balloons for her birthday. That's it. Mostly just the balloons. And if I was going to pay money for a bounce house, I thought the obvious thing to do to invite everyone we know. Okay not everyone, but every close friend and family that we invited came, and we are so thankful!
I am usually not a fan of big parties, because I really don't like the thought of everyone thinking we did it for the gifts. You know, like when someone invites their previous employers grandmother to their wedding? Like c'mon, you gotta cut it off somewhere. The reason I did the big shindig (about 42 people and kiddos) was for a couple reasons. Primarily because of the bounce house, I will be honest. Secondly, our friend Mark is in town and he always seems to be a binder to get all of our friends together on Chris's side. And I thought it turned out super fun and was so happy to see every single person there.
